FRED HARVEY Natural Blue Gem Turquoise and Sterling Silver Thunderbird Bracelet

Description

  • This distinguished bracelet comes from the days of the Santa Fe Railroad, Fred Harvey Hotels and Trading Posts.
  • Made in the 1930’s, this type of bracelet was sold to travelers on the new highway and rail system running throughout the Southwest.
  • Shops that produced pieces of this familiar split shank design, employed local Navajo artists to complete the work.
  • The irregularity of the spaces of the stamps and the shank are indicate of handcraft work.
  • This lovely silver 1930’s bracelet features a greenish/blue, natural Blue Gem turquoise stone.
  • This piece is beautifully aged with a wonderful patina.
